  •  Reference
    • Personal assistance is provided to patrons in pursuit of information. Public service librarians and support staff are available to provide formal and informal instruction in the use of the library. For additional information, contact the public service/circulation desk at 442-2246.
       
  •  Online Resources
    • Patrons have access to a wide range of electronic resources through the J.L. Bedsole Library. This includes online databases, electronic journals, electronic books and library research guides. All of the library's electronic resources are available from on-campus (IP authenticated) and off-campus (ID and password required) locations. Circulation Policy

  • Circulating Materials:
    • Undergraduate students - 30 days
    • Graduate students - 30 days
    • Faculty / Staff - 60 days
       
  • Non Circulating Materials:
    • Includes reference books, periodicals, and newspapers.
       
  • Fines:
    • General Books - .25 per day per book
    • 3-Day Reserve - .25 per day per book
    • Overnight- .25 per day per book
    • Maximum fine is $25.00 per book.
       
  • Replacement Cost:
    • Consists of the current book price plus a service charge of $25.00.
       
  • Renewals:
    • Books may be renewed once online by using the "My Account" link from the library's home page.
       
  • General Information:
    • The maximum number of monographs that can be checked out by an undergraduate is 25 while graduate students and faculty/staff members may check out up to 50 at any one time.
    • Patrons may not check out books once an overdue fine reaches $5.00. Overdue and/or lost books must be accounted for before borrowing privileges will be restored.
    • Patrons must present a valid University of Mobile ID to check out materials.
